My Lord,

I have a potential new recruit to report to you. One William Bishop, by name. I first encountered him after attending a conference in America. He showed an interest in the cause in conversation at that time. I saw no need to mention him, as at the time, I had no reason to believe he'd ever come to Britain. He has since emigrated, and showed a marked interest when I ran across him in a pub last night. In the name of discretion, and to stop his apparent searching for contacts, I informed him that a contact would seek him out at the Hog's Head pub in Hogsmeade village.

While Mr. Bishop shows an admirable zeal for the cause, I have to admit that I find him lacking in discretion. I was unable to ascertain in our meeting any specific skills which might prove useful, and so, barring additional information, would recommend him fro front lines work, with minimal advance knowledge. I await your responce as to what, if any further action I ought take in this matter.

Yours in the pursuit of the betterment of the Wizarding World,

Lucius Malfoy

Lucius --

Mr. Bishop's interest has been noted. I will see to it that someone takes a preliminary from him, after which, I shall make my decision.

My thanks,
Lord Voldemort.

Lucius --

Mr Bishop's preliminary interview has been taken, and I am considering it. I would like to see you and Rabastan on Tuesday evening, in the usual place. I would value your opinions on a method for testing our Mr. Bishop. He is a strange creature.

Supper will be served at eight sharp. I trust you will be on time.

Dominus vobiscum,
Lord Voldemort.

Lucius --

There are rumours that the Grimoire of Elizabeth Bathory is currently in the hands of the Archambault family. I spoke with Julian Morreaud about the validity of the tales, and he seems fairly certain that, regardless of the authenticity of the item, the family believes it to be the genuine article.

I would like you to go to Versailles, this weekend, and meet with Hébert Archambault. I have faith in your ability to verify the authenticity of the book. Take Rabastan with you. If the text is genuine, I wish you to acquire it for me, by whatever means necessary, although I would prefer to simply purchase it.

Either way, send a report of your results before finalising any negotiations.

Dominus vobiscum,
Lord Voldemort.
